How do I search for a Residential For Sale property?

• Select the For Sale link/tab at the top of the search page. It will be highlighted in green.
• Select the state in which you want to search.
• Select the property type you want to search for.
• Type in a suburb. Our predictive text feature will help you find it.
• Double click on a suburb to move it to the "Selected Suburbs" list.
• Alternatively, use the "Search by Region" or "Show all Suburbs" search options.
  (To select more than one suburb, hold the Control key and click on the suburbs)
• Select number of bedrooms (optional).
• Select a price range (optional).
• Leave the Include Surrounding Suburbs box ticked if you want to see what is available in the vicinity.
• Click the Search button to start your search.

Why does the search show me no listed properties?

• There are no properties listed on the site for the suburb searched.
• There is no agent in that area who is using www.abcrealestate.com.au to advertise their properties.
• To broaden your search, try changing some search criteria, or make sure the "Search Surrounding Suburbs" check box is ticked.

How do I find a list of agents in my search area?

• Click the "Find an Agent" tab located on the right of the search page.
• Select the state in which you want to search.
• Select the suburbs you wish to search in. To select more than one suburb, hold the Control key and click on the suburbs.
• Type in an agent's name, to narrow your search (optional).
• Click the "Search" link to start your search.
• View the agent's listed properties by clicking on a search link next to the client logo.

What is the Property Alert service?

• The Property Alert service is a free tool designed to help you find what you are looking for. Receive daily or weekly emails which list properties that match your search criteria.

How do I become a member so I can use the Property Alert service?

• Click on the "Property Alerts" link located in the top menu bar.
• To become a new member you need to register. On the right hand side of the page, under the "New Member" section, enter your email address and a new password. You will need to retype your new password for verification.
• Click on "Register".
• Once registered you will be taken into the management section of Property Alerts.

How do I use Property Alert?

• Click on the "Property Alerts" link located in the top menu bar.
• Log on to the service by typing in your email address and password and click "Login".
• Once logged in, click "Add New Alert" which is located on the right hand side menu.
• Complete the Alert form, by selecting search type, state, suburbs, property type, number of bedrooms and price.
• Select the frequency of receiving emails.
• Click "Save Alert".
• Your alert is now saved.
• Use the right hand side menu to mark your alerts as inactive, active or deleted.

How do I cancel my Property Alert after I have found my property?

• Click on the "Property Alerts" link located in the top menu bar.
• Log on to the service by typing in your email address and password and click "Login".
• Select the alert/s you wish to delete and click "Delete Selected Alerts" which is located on the right hand side menu.

What is a Shortlist and how do I use it?

• You can use the Shortlist to store properties that you have found on www.ABCrealestate.com.au for future reference.
• You can quickly view these properties at any time by clicking on the Shortlist link on the top menu.
• To add a property to the Shortlist, simply click on "Add to Shortlist" from the search results list, or from the individual property's details page.
